BGS Class: Using Land Records in Genealogy @ Meadows Branch Library
May 15 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

In early America, land was inexpensive and even those of humble circumstances could be landowners. These records used to be buried in the courthouse, but are now becoming more accessible as they go online. You will find land records to be rich in family history. As property was bought and sold, family relationships, locations and personal information were revealed in the documents created.

Instructor will be Karlene Ferguson, CG®.

The words Certified Genealogist and its acronym, CG, are a registered certification marks of the Board for Certification of Genealogists®, used under license by board certificants after periodic evaluation.
